The Fujikura Ventus White 2025
Fujikura’s latest shaft is being hailed as revolutionary in two ways.
First, it’s the first Ventus shaft to weigh under 50 grams. It tips the scales at just 49.5 grams.
The second revolutionary aspect is that, even though this shaft is super light, it’s every bit as stable as other Ventus offerings. That’s thanks to the magic of Velocore+ technology.
Who It’s For
The 2025 Ventus White is ideal for:
– Golfers whose swing speeds range from moderate to slow, yet still demand maximum speed, launch, and spin, without sacrificing precision and stability.
– Players who prefer higher launch and spin rates that, under normal circumstances, would be considered excessive but actually help optimize their carry distance.
– Anyone who thinks of lightweight performance as their holy grail but yet somehow manages to maintain exceptional control and accuracy.
Technology – VeloCore+
The Ventus White 2025 showcases a substantial upgrade in Fujikura’s Velocore+ technology, allowing its benefits to reach an even broader range of golfers since it was last seen in the Ventus series. If you recall the original Velocore, it was good. It was really good. Well, the thing is, Velocore+ also has to be really good—and better, in fact—if it hopes to capitalize on any rider of the original name for the shaft. And trust us, it does. Velocore+ not only ups the ante for shafts that bear the Velocore name but also offers an enhanced, broader feel of the stabilized performance we had come to expect with the original Velocore. And don’t worry; it wasn’t at the expense of what made the original Velocore so good in the first place. List of elements: • Even better stability-enhancing properties than the original Velocore • Same feel of stabilization • More players can now benefit from it since it has the performance for slow, normal, and fast swing speeds. For techies, the Ventus White offers 5.00 of torque and a low bend point.
Performance – Dispersion and Distance
The Ventus White 2025 shines in maintaining tight dispersion. That is an essential characteristic of a high-quality, high-performance, lightweight shaft. And this is why the Ventus White 2025 is such a good shaft for a wide range of golfers when it is matched correctly to their swings. This shaft is not only capable of providing impressive distance; it is also capable of providing far more consistent performance than a lot of other distance-oriented shafts that I have tried over the years.
Feel
The 2025 Ventus White has a stable yet smooth feel, which we think sits in a perfect balance of a soft handle and a shaft that is firmer toward the head. That head shaft transition offers excellent feedback, but we really appreciate what might be an underserved aspect of the 2025 Ventus White: its combination of stability and an effortless nature. In a way, it might feel like cheating, but you could use the 2025 Ventus White to feel better about your game (in accordance with the USGA).
On-Course Review – How It Compares
The Ventus White 2025 goes head-to-head with premium, lightweight shafts like the Graphite Design and KBS’s TD series. The Graphite Design Tour AD GC has a comparably lightweight design, and the KBS TD is a well-known low-torque shaft. The Ventus White, however, combines its ultralight design with the control one usually associates with heavier shafts.
Fujikura has successfully broadened the Ventus’s appeal to golfers with moderate to slow swing speeds, especially those using regular and senior flex shafts. Other brands have comparable products aimed at this demographic, including the Callaway Elyte Max Fast, the XXIO 13, and the TaylorMade Qi 35 Max Lite. But none of these perform quite like the Ventus White 2025, which, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated shafts on this list.
Final Verdict
The lightweight shaft is a world premiere from Fujikura. It showed a top-level launch and spin quality with the new Ventus technology, but it also is a game-changer in the world of decisive lightweight shafts.
If you’re hitting drives between 180-230 yards, this is a shaft to boost your launch window and maintain your control. I feel that this shaft is ideal for those who swing at a medium tempo or slightly faster.
